In Catemu, the Fundaci贸n Santino Pizarro Carrizo and Laurita’s family organized a charity bingo that became much more than a fundraising activity. It was a night of joy, togetherness and hope, led by a community that has learned to transform pain into profound love.
A Night to Remember
There was laughter, there was dancing, there were hugs between people who share something that very few words can describe: the weight of facing DIPG up close, and the decision to keep going anyway in the fight against this terrible disease.
The charity bingo organized in Catemu by Laurita’s family and the Fundaci贸n Santino Pizarro Carrizo was a celebration born from pain that chose hope. Behind every smile in that room lies a story of struggle, enormous strength and love that refuses to give up. And yet, there they all were. Together. Celebrating.
Because it is possible to fight and celebrate at the same time. To keep living and decide to turn pain into actions that help others.
For Laurita, Santino and All the Children Still Fighting
Laurita is from Catemu and today faces DIPG alongside her family with a courage and a smile that have deeply moved everyone who knows her and walks beside her on this journey. Together, she and her family have decided that their story should also be a source of light and hope for other families walking this same road.
Organizing this bingo was one of the most beautiful ways to turn the fight into concrete action: bringing the community together, raising funds and generating real hope for other children who today need support, guidance and resources to access treatments that do not exist in Chile.
