🔬 The Santino Pizarro Carrizo Foundation Participates in the I+D+I Panel at the Oncología 360° Festival
This August 19th, the Foundation joins a transdisciplinary event at UNAB Viña del Mar to explore how science, technology and social innovation can transform the oncological experience. A unique space where cancer is faced from every possible perspective.
Cancer Is Not Faced From a Single Discipline
That is the premise behind the I+D+I Panel: Humanization, technology and accessibility — what can we do about cancer?, a session of the Oncología 360° Festival that will bring together representatives from science, technology, education and social innovation in one space to explore the future of oncological care together.
The Fundación Santino Pizarro Carrizo will be present as one of the invited projects, sharing its experience supporting families facing DIPG in Chile and Latin America, and its work as a bridge between the Chilean healthcare system and the therapeutic possibilities available in the world.
A Meeting Between Science, Technology and Social Innovation
The panel will be developed under a STEAM+H approach — science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics and humanities — with the conviction that the humanization of oncological care is also built through innovation.
During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about projects that are transforming the cancer experience from different perspectives, including:
🧡 @todosporsantichile – Fundación Santino Pizarro Carrizo, support for families with DIPG
🔬 @proyectomirame.unabvm – Patient accompaniment project
🎗️ prevención_cancermama – Prevention and education initiative
📚 @cesgi_udd – Oncology research generation
